November's Spirit Night at Burrito Shak raised $225 for Lufkin students and staff. As it happens, this total is pretty close to the amount of a typical grant that the PTA awards to teachers to support classroom and curriculum enhancements. 

This year, we have awarded grants that paid for resources like art supplies, sheet music and band instruments, and literacy supports.

Thank you for making our first Spirit Night of the year a great success! With your ice cream-loving help, we raised $220.51, all of which will go directly to the PTA to support student and staff programming.

From our PTA President, Brooke Patin: We cannot thank everyone that came and helped at Campus Beautification Day. My emphasis and end goal of being PTA President has been fostering community. Lufkin feeds from 28 elementary schools, and it can be difficult to feel community when you aren’t a traditional neighborhood school. Summit Church and Lufkin showed up and showed out to execute some pride in our school. I can’t wait to continue the vision. This is an amazing huge first step. 

Huge thank you to all my 7-8 year old supervisors because they were the true heroes making sure the donuts were safe. ❤️🖤
