What is our fundraising goal? $25,000
Is there a suggested donation amount? We are encouraging 100% participation from our students, whether they ask for donations, participate in coin wars by bringing in spare change, or simply help spread the word. If every student can raise at least $25 we will meet our goal. Donations of $250 or more will include a 30 inch lightning bolt with your name on it painted on our school sidewalk!
What is the deadline to give? While all of our incentives to give are based on the end date of October 31st, the fundraiser will remain live year-round! We need a strong push to meet our goal to support our budget for the year, but you are welcome to give at any time .☺️
I see the button to donate, but can I mail in a check instead of paying online? Yes! Please make a check payable to Lufkin Rd Middle School PTA and mail to 1002 Lufkin Rd Apex, NC 27539.
How do I invite my family and friends to participate? We suggest sharing the direct link to give online with them - bit.ly/PBL-Donate
Is my donation tax deductible? Yes! After your donation, you will receive a thank you email containing the Lufkin PTA Tax ID.
My company offers donation matching. How do I get my gift matched? Great! Please reach out to our treasurer, Melissa Carroll (lufkinPTAtreasurer@gmail.com) to make it happen.

LRMS draws from neighborhoods throughout Apex, Holly Springs, Cary, and Raleigh, with our students coming from 41 different Wake Co Elementary schools. Our community is socioeconomically diverse: more than 30% of our students qualify for free breakfast and lunch. PTA fundraising allows us to provide resources that make the school experience enriching and equitable for every student.

With the exception of our giving platform's credit card fees, all proceeds go directly to our programs. Instead of hiring a company to run a big event (and losing close to half of our proceeds), direct giving allows us to pocket every dollar that is donated.

Our goal is full participation by all of our students, in whatever way that you can. Instead of a bunch of individual prizes based on dollar amounts, most of our incentives are based on participation.

Schools in our area raise 2x as much money through this kind of fundraising, compared with sales or event-based efforts! Our goal is to make a big impact without taking our focus off of the real reason students and teachers are here: to teach and to learn!

Will there be other fundraisers?
Will there be other fundraisers?
Yes, you will still hear about a few other activities – some that have become tradition for our students, and others that are tied in with the school program. However, this is a way for busy students and families to make a real difference without a lot of extras.
