Letter From the President

I’m honored to serve as President of the Lufkin Road Middle School PTA. On behalf of the entire PTA board, welcome! A special welcome to those who are new to our school — this is my family’s fifth year at Lufkin, and I’m so proud to be part of this community!

Lufkin is a uniquely diverse school, with students coming from more than 35 different elementary schools and communities across Wake County. That diversity is one of our greatest strengths, but it also means building a strong, connected school community takes intention. That's where the PTA comes in—but we need your help!

Throughout the year we:

     💃  Help host 2 socials (dances) per grade level, as well as a Fall and Spring festival

     ⚡  Reward positive behavior with a weekly BOLTS cart (ask your student!)

     ✏️  Provide classroom grants so teachers have the tools they need to help students succeed 

     😍  Fund campus beautification and school improvements

     🥫  Stock Lufkin’s Food Shoppe to support families in need

     🍎  Show appreciation for our staff through meals, lunch coverage, and special gifts

     🫵  And so much more!

Let's be honest—middle school isn't always easy. Our children may not need us in the same ways they did in elementary school, but they still need a strong, supportive community around them. That's why your involvement matters.
